To better understand and disseminate information on occupations in the animation field, the French network of animation schools outlined the key phases of an animation production and developed occupational profiles for five occupations in the field (3D Animator, Animation Director, VFX Supervisor, Story Board Artist, Matt-Painter).
The study builds on an extensive desk research and on interviews with professionals and HR managers of animation studios.
The study was commissioned by the French ‘Prospective Observatory of Audiovisual Occupations’, piloted by the CPNEF AV (Joint National Committee for Employment and Training in the Audiovisual sector).
