In the autumn of 2016 Sociaal Fonds voor de Podiumkunsten (SFP), the ‘Social fund for the live performance sector in Flemish-speaking Belgium’, surveyed the work experience in the performing arts and music sector.
Both employees and ‘flex workers’ were surveyed, and a number of welfare indicators and recommendations for an improvement of the sector working conditions outlined (such as a review of work organisation, transformational leadership and the need to better support and protect ‘flex workers’).
